Oh my gosh, I miss America so much! I’ve been living abroad for the past year and, even though life is more convenient when your apartment is paid for and public transportation is top-notch, I miss American food (hot dogs, hamburgers, pizza), I want to take a road trip to the Grand Canyon and stop by every diner and tourist trap on the way, I want to say the Pledge of Allegiance and sing “Fifty Nifty United States.” I guess patriotism develops by default when you’re away from your home country for too long.
